I've won an auction! What do I do now?

Congratulations! Once you get done celebrating, here's what you do:

First, confirm and pay for your win. When the auction ends, you will be re-directed to a page where you'll be asked to confirm that you won the item. This page will instruct you how to pay for the won item. QuiBids will request payment and shipping information after every auction whether it's your first win or 100th. Once you confirm and pay for your item, we’ll confirm your payment via email and ship it.

You must confirm and pay for your win within 7 days after the auction has ended. If you don't confirm within this time frame, we will assume you no longer want the item.

How do I redeem coupons?

Occasionally, QuiBids will give away coupons to make things even cheaper for you! To redeem these coupons, go to "My QuiBids" and click on "Redeem Coupon." Enter your Redemption Code and your Voucher Bids will be applied immediately. These Voucher Bids typically have an expiration of 7 days.

When does an auction end?

Each auction ends when the timer reaches zero on QuiBids' servers.

Why is time added to the auction clock?

Time is added to the clock whenever a bid is placed. This allows someone else the chance to bid if they want to. It's a lot like the "Going once, Going twice, SOLD!" approach of traditional auctions. The increments of time added to the auction timer depend on the particular auction, and vary between 10, 15, or 20 seconds.

Auction Types

Beginner Auction

You've just discovered QuiBids, but you're not 100% sure how it works. Well, we've set up Beginner Auctions as a way for you to grow accustomed to the bidding process in a low-pressure environment. You'll learn how to bid by participating with other beginners! Take note, though: once you win your first auction, you'll no longer be eligible to participate in Beginner Auctions.

Regular Auction

Each bid placed will increase the final auction price by $.01.

Auction Limits

QuiBids allows 12 wins in a 28-day period and 12 wins per 24-hour time period. In addition, you may only be winning 5 normal auctions and 1 beginner auction at a time.

Additional auction limits include:

  1. You can only win one of the exact same item over $285 in value during a 28 day period.
  2. You can only win one of any item at or over $999.99 in a 28 day period
  3. Voucher Bids only apply toward a user's daily 12 win limit. Voucher Bids do not apply to a user’s 28-day win limit

For example, if you win a PlayStation, you will be locked out of all future PlayStation auctions for the following 28 days because it is over $285. Items purchased with the Buy Now feature do not count toward a user’s auction limit.

We implement auction limits to give everyone the best chance possible to win items you want.  We want everyone at QuiBids to save BIG and have fun!

How can I watch an auction?

What's the difference between the auction ending price and the value price?

Auction End price
The auction end price is the price of the auction item when the timer reaches zero. The winner will purchase the auction item for that price.

Value price
The value price is the suggested retail price. If you decide to use the Buy Now feature, the value of the Real Bids you used in that particular auction will be applied to the value price.
