QBar- An Easier Way to Play!

We realize that we sound like a broken record at this point, but we really are always looking to improve your shopping experience at QuiBids! After compiling tons of users’ recommendations, a bunch of really intense brainstorming sessions, and careful consideration by our staff, we’ve created a tool that streamlines your shopping experience into an easy, functional navigation bar.

The QBar is going to improve the way you play by making it easier to buy bids during an auction, monitor items on your watchlist, receive notifications, navigate our site, and even tell your friends how much money you’re able to save on brand new products using QuiBids! It’s the steering wheel that guides your shopping cart!

The QBar is located at the bottom of your screen, and it’ll follow you page to page whenever you're logged in. Currently it features seven key components: a User Profile View, My QuiBids, My Bids, Watchlist, Notifications, a social media portal, and a connection meter.

Let’s take a closer look at each component, starting with your unique user profile view!

User Profile

Here, you’re able to view your latest win, auction limits, avatar, and latest achievements! This view is similar to what other users see when they hover their cursor over your username. The only difference is that they won’t be able to see your win limits. Instead, the date you became a member will be displayed.

My QuiBids

There are three sections under this tab: My Account, QuiBids Store, and Activity. This QBar component enables you quick access to your bidding history, account information, and even your QuiBids Store order history, at any time you like!

My Bids

My Bids – in addition to being the QBar component we’re most excited about – enables you to view the amount of real and voucher bids remaining in your account. No more scrolling all the way to the top of an auction page to view your remaining bids!

The best part about My Bids is the new Quick Buy method that lets you buy bids on the go if you have your credit card information saved! You never have to leave an auction to buy more bids again! You can buy bids in 25-bid increments by sliding the bar to the amount of bids you wish to purchase. In addition to buying bids using QuickBuy, you can choose which bids to use first in an auction. In the event that you have both real and voucher bids, the system will use the bids you choose to use first. This selection is made under the My Bids area of the QBar.

Watchlist

Now you can view your watchlist without having to leave an auction page! Keep track of upcoming auctions while you’re bidding!

Notifications

Receive notifications about achievements you’ve earned, watchlist items ending soon, when you are running low on bids, and plenty of other useful stuff that’ll save you time using QuiBids!

Now that you’ve read up on the QBar, go give it a try! Please let us know what you think about it, and hit us with any changes that you think would improve your QuiBids experience!

Why do you have to wait for the last 5 minutes before bidding on an item? I dont think this was in place the last time i used QuiBids.

eklyons@QuiBids Says:

Bids are not allowed to be placed into an auction until the auction time has counted down to the 5 minute mark. We have this set in place so that your bids are not wasted by placing them into an auction too early. For example, if you started placing bids when the auction had two hours left then those bids would essentially be wasted, as the winner is determined by the user that places the last bid when the timer reaches zero.

When you claim your voucher bids, can you select when you can use them?

eklyons@QuiBids Says:

Yes, you can make this selection at any time. The most efficient way to switch between Voucher and Real bids is in the QBar. To the far right of the QBar you will see an icon of gold coins with the words, 'My Bids,' next it. When you click on this icon a pop up will appear and there will be the option to change your 'Bids Type Selection.' This is a great way to switch the type of bids you are using, as you do not have to navigate away form the current page you are on, meaning, you can change the type of bids during an auction that you need to keep an eye on.
