QuiBids 101

Let's Talk Limit Busters!

Everybody shops with QuiBids to save BIG and have fun! We realized early on that there was a significant amount of users who not only often reached their daily win limit but also the 28-day win limit, and grew tired of waiting around for their win limits to expire. That’s just no fun at all now, is it?

So we created Limit Busters as a way for you to deduct wins from your 28-day auction win limits, enabling you to participate in more auctions. It’s a little confusing, we realize. So, let's consider the following scenario:

John Doe has won 3 auctions today, including a Bust One - Limit Buster, and has a total of 5 wins for the 28-day period. When John purchases the Bust One - Limit Buster, the most recent win would be deducted from his win limits which would drop his wins for the 28-day period to 4.

Keep in mind that Limit Buster and Voucher Bid auctions still count towards your daily limit. Limit Busters only clear wins off your 28-day win limit.

If you have any questions, feel free to add them in the comments section below or read an overview of Limit Busters in the FAQ's.

If all 12 limits are full can you bid on a limit buster?

katiehern@QuiBids Says:

Absolutely, as long as you have not reached your daily win limit!

Can limit busters be purchased?

katiehern@QuiBids Says:

Yes, you can buy a limit buster at anytime during the auction and up to 2 hours after the auction if you have placed at least one bid.

If I won an auction but decide not to finish the transaction and pay for it, will it open the slot in my available wins?

jhayworth@QuiBids Says:

Great question! Your win limit will remain filled even if you do not purchase the item you won, as the auction limits are based upon won auctions rather than items purchased!

Do I lose the auction/item if it's cleared out from a Limit Buster?

katiehern@QuiBids Says:

No, you will still receive that item.

How often do you have limit buster auctions?

JJordan@QuiBids Says:

We auction Limit Busters daily. Select the 'Limit Buster' category from the drop-down menu and you will be able to see all of the limit busters that are up for auction.

The 24hr time period, does it start from the time you win your first auction or your last?

eklyons@QuiBids Says:

Each won auction has its own individual 24 hour time limit. Exactly 24 hours after you win an auction, it will be removed from your 24 hour limit. Let's say that you win three auctions at 1:00PM, 2:00PM, and 3:00PM. Those filled auction slots will open back up for you, the following day, at 1:00PM 2:00PM and 3:00PM, allowing you to fill that slot again with another won item.

lstuckemeyer@QuiBids Says:

You can win twelve items in a 28 day period!

How do I know when I can bid again if I've reached my 24 hour limit?

eklyons@QuiBids Says:

You are able to view your current auction limits in the 'Auction Limits' section of your account. This section is located under the 'My QuiBids' tab.

I have only one win. Will getting a limit buster return my status to a non-winner?

katiehern@QuiBids Says:

No, once you win an auction you will no longer be considered a beginner or non- winner. Limit busters are used to expire your 12 wins in a 28 day time frame limit.

i dont remember seeing a question of the daily win limit. Is it twelve?

eklyons@QuiBids Says:

Yes, that is correct. You are allowed to win 12 items within a 24 hour period. Please note, Voucher Bid Auctions and Limit Buster Auctions will fill a slot in your 24 hour limit and not your 28 day limit.

does quibids still offer the limit busters, I tried searching but couldn't find any.

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

Yes, we still offer those. Make sure your filters aren't on and blocking those in the auction listings.

Can i use more than 1 limit buster in the 28 day period

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

Yes, there is not a limit on the number of limitbusters you can use!

Um... I am trying to understand how to use Limit Busters... I have two of them... If my "won" items are not full (12), will I be able to use it as not expire? Will I be able to get credit back if I don't use it? just trying to understand what or how to use it

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

Limitbusters are applied as soon as you pay for them. So if you only have 10 spots filled and purchase a one limitbuster, you will then have 9 spots filled.

I love the recliners available under home and garden, and I'd love to have a matching set. Since they are valued at over $288 dollars, if I use a limit buster when I win the first one, can I win a second one in the same 28 day period?

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

No, limit busters do not remove the limits on the value of auctions won.

Kirstkp Says:

Wednesday March 19, 2014

So, if I win 12 items in a 24 hour period, maxing my daily limit, doesn't that also max my 28 day limit? How are these different?

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

It depends. You can only win 12 auctions in 24 hours, regardless on the type of auction you win. Voucher bid auctions and limit buster auctions do not count towards the 28 day limit though.

I have 2 items that I won but you contacted me and told me to choose other products or you would give my bids back etc. The items offered weren't similar at all so I got my bids etc back. I sent a message to the help center since I never was able to get my items I feel they should be taken off my win limits? Is that correct since I never really got my products due to out of stock etc. No error on my part. It will affect my 28 day win limit. Thanks!

Which item is easiest to win in Quibids?

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

Good question--but the answer is different for everyone!

kim1029 Says:

Friday July 18, 2014

does this only remove one item .. I assumed it cleared out all your 12 day limits

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

Limit busters only remove auctions from your 28 day limit, not your 24 hour limit. It will remove the number of auctions from your 28 day limit that it states (a 1 limit buster removes one auction, a 2 limit buster removes two, etc).

PollyRae Says:

Friday August 1, 2014

Post 9 and 10 seem to contradict, are limit busters for the 24 hour period limits or the 28 day limits?

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

Limit busters only apply to the 28 day limits, not the 24 hour limits.

One thing I'm not clear about...I've apparently reached my 12 win in 28 day limit...does another 28 period reset after waiting the 3 days...or will another 28 day period start again after every won auction?

jpayne5@QuiBids Says:

Each auction fills a spot in your limits for 28 days. So, basically, the most wins (excludes limit buster and voucher auctions) you can have in any 28 day period is 12 wins unless you get a limit buster to remove one of those wins sooner.
