I've won an auction! What do I do now?
Woot woot! Congrats on winning yourself a QuiBids auction.
First (obviously) you've got to pay for the auction's ending price. You may do this by clicking "Proceed to Checkout" at the top of the auction page, or by going to My QuiBids and selecting Claim Now under "Ready To Claim". Have your shipping and payment information ready, because you'll enter it during the checkout process. We'll send you an email confirming your purchase, and another one each time your item's shipping status is updated.
You must pay for your auction win within 3 days of the auction ending. If you don't pay for your auction within this time frame, we'll assume you no longer want the item. Please contact Customer Support if you have any questions!
How do I redeem coupons?
Occasionally, QuiBids will give away coupons to make things even cheaper for you! To redeem these coupons, go to My QuiBids and click on "Redeem Coupon." Enter your Coupon Code and your Voucher Bids will be applied immediately. These bids typically have an expiration of 7 days.
When does an auction end?
Each auction ends when the timer reaches zero on QuiBids' servers.
Why is time added to the auction clock?
Time is added to the clock whenever a bid is placed. This allows someone else the chance to bid if they want to. It's a lot like the "Going once, Going twice, SOLD!" approach of traditional auctions. The amount of time added to the auction timer depends on the particular auction, and varies between 10, 15, or 20 seconds.
When/how do I choose my product?
The way QuiBids’ auction format works (with the exception of auctions for Voucher Bids and Limit Busters), customers don’t have to finalize what product they’re actually bidding on until after they win the auction or choose to Buy Now. A single auction may have over 100 different products to choose from, so be sure to browse all the choices before finalizing your desired item at checkout.
QuiBids allows 12 product wins in a 28-day period and 24 wins (including any products and intangible items such as voucher bids and limit busters) per 24-hour time period. In addition, your auction limits may impact your ability to continue bidding in simultaneous auctions if limits are reached.
Additional auction limits include:
- You can only win one of the exact same item greater than $285 in value during a 28 day period.
- You can only win one of any item equal to or greater than $1,000 in a 28 day period.
- Voucher Bids only apply toward a user's daily 24 win limit. Voucher Bids do not apply to a user’s 28-day win limit.
- A user may only win one 250 Voucher Bid auction and two 100 Voucher Bid auctions every 24 hours. Additionally, a user may only win one 500 Voucher Bid auction and one 1000 Voucher Bid auction every 7 days.
For example, if you win an iPad Air 16GB valued at $499, you will be locked out of all future auctions for that same specific model of iPad for the following 28 days because it is over $285. Items purchased with the Buy Now feature do not count toward a user’s auction limit.
We implement auction limits to give everyone the best chance possible to win items you want. We want everyone at QuiBids to save BIG and have fun!
How can I watch an auction?
If you see an auction you want to watch, you can click "+ Watchlist," which is found in the upper left corner of the auction page above the product picture. You can view all of the items on your watchlist in My QuiBids and in the QBar.
What's the difference between the auction ending price and the value price?
Auction End price
The auction end price is the price of the auction item when the timer reaches zero. The winner will purchase the auction item for that price.
The value price is the suggested retail price. If you decide to use the Buy Now feature, the value of the Real Bids you used in that particular auction will be applied to the value price.
Can I rearrange auctions?
Yes! It's as simple as a click and a drag!
Simply click and hold the auction box and you can drag it to rearrange auctions on the page. Organize the auction by level of interest, type of product, or anything else you can think of!
And It's not limited to the home page. You can rearrange wherever you see a list of auctions: like your Watchlist, or a category page.
What are locked auctions?
Locked Auctions are a QuiBids feature that decreases competition in auctions and allows bidders to win more easily. After a certain number of bids are placed, auctions will become locked and only bidders who have been actively participating will be able to continue placing bids, while all other bidders will be “locked out.” If you're locked out of an auction, you'll know by the locked padlock symbol. If you are able to bid in a Locked Auction, you'll see the unlocked padlock symbol. This feature applies to all QuiBids auctions.
What causes auctions to lock?
After an auction price hits a certain level, auctions will lock so bidders cannot jump in at the last second.
How do I avoid getting locked out of an auction?
Locked Auctions will lock out bidders that have not placed a bid for a while or haven't invested much in the auction. To avoid being locked out, maintain consistent participation in the auction as both frequency of bidding and time since your last bid factor in. Please bear in mind, in higher valued auctions, participants earlier on may continue when auction is locked due to their investment in the auction.
